2017 Oct Kyoto Geisha apprentice

While walking early one evening on a busy street in Kyoto, Japan, I saw a Geisha apprentice (a Maiko) on her way to work. Normally they rush down side streets trying to avoid contact. She had stopped for a red light at an intersection. When I saw another pedestrian strike up a conversation with her, I decided to film her. So did several others. She was very polite and strangely charming
